Nottingham Print Finishers set up Gemini in 1992 as its sister company to cope with increasingly complex print jobs. According to joint managing director Richard Amstock, the move would mean that the combined company could concentrate on handwork and fulfilment for the direct mail sampling sector. He added that the merger would not result in any redundancies.
The staffs efforts are better employed to run our machines on a double day schedule and they will be re-trained. The move will revitalise the direction of the business, said Amstock.
The firms machinery includes a Setmaster fully automatic collator and three Muller Martini inline gluing stitching machines.
