The 16pp five-unit press is due at the Rotherham site in June and will mostly print covers. It will replace an existing 16pp machine and complement a recently bought 48pp Lithoman IV.
The Rotoman prints 50,000 impressions an hour and was chosen specially for the plant, which rolls out shorter-run magazines and catalogues Divisional director Geoff Gramlick said: "We have invested heavily in technology to ensure we can continue to offer the best of quality for customers in the most efficient manner."
Garnett Dickinson Print has also bought Agfa's Delano project management software and a third Muller Martini Prima S saddle-stitching line.
The 12,000sqm plant boasts reduced manual handling and several energy saving and environmentally friendly devices, he said.
