The talks follow ArjoWiggins' announcement earlier this month that it was to conduct a review on the future of Fort William, a move that could result in its closure.
A spokesman for the Scottish Executive said the meeting had explored a number of ways support could be offered in relation to the Corpach site.
"It was agreed a number of issues needed to be examined further in order to get the most out of a meeting with the company's senior management in Paris."
The Paris talks between Scottish Development representatives and senior management at ArjoWiggins will be held in the next two to three weeks, following an earlier postponement.
