Since they started in the year 2000, Futura Digital has invested in Xerox presses, along with a fleet of b/w plus colour engines. "This facility, which is being renovated, is geared to cater to the growing number of customers," said K N Shivakumar, the partner and director, Futura Digital.
"Xerox have the most reliable after-sales service engineers who help at any given time of the day – something we have come to value over the years," he added.
Moreover, the machine, in the last month of operations has already helped them boost sales up by 40 percent. "As compared to the 85,000 jobs we did in a month, we’re doing over 1,20,000 jobs in a month and we are targeting about 2,00,000 jobs in the next few months," said Shivakumar.
He also said with this machine Futura Digital plans to foray into new services – garment tags, as the machine can print on 350 gsm paper, personalised photo albums and certificates and other security jobs. They are able to provide customers digital prints at the price of Rs 20 for an A3 print.
Pankaj Kalra, general manager, at Xerox said it is a reciprocal relationship. "Futura is one of the forerunners of this business and Xerox supports such entrepreneurship. They were five years ahead of their time in considering digital printing a solution."
