Brian Mahony retires at the end of December and will be replaced by Bamford, who will step-up to national sales manager of post-press. 

Brown has risen to national sales manager of digital solutions, filling the shoes of Dave Checkley who leaves at the end of November. 

Friedheim is bucking the trend of appointing candidates from outside their area of expertise. "They're both excellent people who have proven they can do the job and will continue to do that," said managing director Peter Morris. 

Bamford and Brown will take up their roles on 1 September, enabling a four- and three-month handover period respectively.
