Sam Adams, who worked as European service director at Mark Andy for nearly seven years, has launched Performance Print Engineering and Consultancy off the back of more than 30 years working in the print sector around the world. The company started trading on 10 February.
The business is based out of Staffordshire, with easy access to the M1 and M6 to access clients around the UK within a matter of hours. It will support printers on services including press relocations and installations, upgrades and rebuilds, operator training, applications support and lean management implementation.
Adams told Printweek that Performance Print has "a small company feeling with a global perspective".
He said: “I see an opportunity to help print companies in an affordable way; due to our lean business structure we can pass on affordable rates to customers.
“The education into print has been pretty much cut and Performance Print is an avenue to reintroduce that skillset, allowing the converters to have fully-trained operators. Our geographic position in the UK means that we're only a few hours away from you.
“We’ve had a fantastic response to the business already by securing a number of contracts. We are actively supporting presses from various manufacturers along with their finishing lines which makes Performance Print a one-stop shop.”
The business covers most of the client consultation itself but also makes use of a network of specialist consultants active within various parts of the print sector to help clients of Performance Print both in the UK and across Europe.
