Due to this investment, the firm can cater to the plate requirements of printers in and around Noida. The CTP unit has been supplied by Kodak’s dealer Insight Print Communications.
The firm used to deploy the conventional system for plate-making which hampered makereadies for its presses.
"The slow speed of plate production, was a catalyst for installing an automated plate-making system, which could image our requirement of plates. We now fire more than 100 plates per day and are in a position to fire more to meet local printers’ requirement," said Sanjay Kumar Goel, director at First Impression.
Goel, who came into the print business in 1993 as a canvasser, started his own printing facility in Noida in 2008. He installed multi-colour presses from Heidelberg, post-press kit along with a plate-making system and envelope making machine from W&D, in a phased manner.
The firm specialises in commercial printing jobs. "We are expected to print at high quality and this can be achieved by embracing proper print technology," concluded Goel.
