Fiery Factory first at Fespa
Fiery (A1-B50) is showing Digital Factory v11 for the first time in Europe and has teamed with Mimaki for a new direct-to-film system. The combination of Digital Factory v11 and Mimaki’s TxF150-75 DTF printer was described as a “best-in-class solution” for a growing market by Mimaki general manager for global marketing Yuji Ikeda. Also new is a collaboration with Maegis for DTF focused on creative product production including 3D applications. A further 14 partners are using Fiery tech on their booths. “At Fespa, we will unveil Fiery DFE solutions that cover the widest range of large format and specialty print opportunities,” said Fiery CEO Toby Weiss.
Fedrigoni outlining new products
Fedrigoni Self-Adhesives (B2-A10) is showcasing its new products for the visual communication and decoration sector while also having a dedicated space at The Wrap Institute stand. Products on its own booth include Ri-Jet C50 Ultimate Slide & Tack, which is specifically designed for wrapping commercial and private vehicles, and Paint Protection film, a transparent polyurethane film used to protect the bodywork of high-end cars.
The Ri-Mark Platinum range with Airflow technology, meanwhile, is designed to meet the needs of those in the self-adhesive plotter cutting materials industry, while the Ri-Jet PO100 is an adaptable PVC-free self-adhesive film developed for digital printing on flat surfaces.
Temporary theme for Guandong
Simulating a pop-up store, the Guandong Italia booth (B2-D52) showcases materials for temporary interior POS displays, including plastic and fabric-based products.
New innovation in its plastic materials has focused on creating 100% recycled and recyclable installations. “A wise and careful choice of materials can contribute to reducing the environmental impact of displays, as well as promote a circular economy, contributing to the sustainable development of the entire sector,” said founder, Edoardo Elmi.
Visitors can see Guandong’s latest catalogue, brochures and samples on the stand, whilst also having the chance to see its app for viewing product display images, videos and case histories.
Oppboga highlights paperboards
Swedish paperboard manufacturer Oppboga Bruk and Swiss sister company Kapag Karton + Papier are showcasing a collection of 10 different paperboards for the sign and display markets on stand A2-C22. Products on show include its Oppboga Excellent range, which has recently been released in a new stock size of 1,220x2,440mm in thicknesses of 2-3mm, available to purchase by the pallet. The range features two new FSC-certified boards: High White is a coated paperboard designed for high-quality applications such as cosmetic and healthcare goods, while Oppboga Kraft is a brown, uncoated display board with a natural appearance.
OneVision’s ‘Road to Automation’
Software developer OneVision is showcasing its bespoke Wide Format Automation Suite on its stand this week (B2-B05). Suitable for a range of applications, including out-of-home advertising, interiors, vehicle wrapping and photo products, OneVision’s software can be tailor-made for individual needs. It can automate the entire production process from file input to printing and finishing, integrating a wide variety of systems and tools, such as automatic file preparation, intelligent nesting/ganging and tiling/panelling and flexible cut line management for optimal substrate utilisation.
OneVision also integrates with hardware and software from a wide-range of leading manufacturers.
SAi shows latest Flexi upgrades
SA International (SAi) (A1-A11) is demonstrating the latest developments to its Flexi all-in-one design, print, and cut signmaking software. Flexi 22 has an enhanced user-friendly interface with the SAi Connect dashboard for monitoring production data, licenses, subscriptions, and downloading updates. Efficiency, ease of use, and the ability to modify jobs directly within Flexi Production Manager are said to streamline the workflow. Flexi 22 also has tools for special applications including DTF and DTG production. The software is available via subscription, while users are additionally able to select features for special projects and unlock them on a short-term basis.
Sun showing large portfolio
Sun Chemical (B2-B40) is presenting products under the theme of ‘Experience. Transformations.’, where its aim is to focus on helping customers to innovate.
Products on display include its wide-format and super wide-format inkjet inks, textile inkjet inks, screen inks, and industrial inks, including products from SunJet, Sun Chemical’s digital inkjet brand. Its wide-format offering includes the Streamline range of inkjet inks, which are formulated with low odour chemistry and Greenguard Gold certified for low indoor emissions. Finally, Sun is also highlighting its extensive industrial offering to support screen, pad, and industrial printing.
UPM showing graphics products
UPM Raflatac (B2-A48) is exhibiting for the first time under the Intercoat by UPM Raflatac name, after buying the AMC AG and Intercoat brand. It is showing its PVC-free Eco Collection, Smart Apply Collection for fast short-term applications, and Wonder Tack Collection for surfaces with low surface energy that require a special adhesive, and advanced solvent-free adhesive technology. “As the Fespa theme is ‘new perspectives’, we want to share our new perspectives for graphics,” said Bernard Niemöller, global director, graphics, Intercoat by UPM Raflatac.
