Each year, the calendar project highlights a compendium of “the UK’s very best creative work”, with the 2022 edition now open for registration.
Since its inception in 2017, Fedrigoni has collaborated with design studio TM on the Fedrigoni 365 project. Each year, the UK-based creative community is invited to contribute a design that interprets a date of the year provided to them at random, which Fedrigoni said results in “a diverse and vibrant time capsule of creative talent”.
Fedrigoni UK marketing executive and social media manager Ambra Fridegotto said: “Following a year of immense upheaval for the creative sector, community and togetherness has never been more important.
“Inclusion and positivity has always been at the heart of the Fedrigoni 365 project, bringing together creatives of all styles and generations in the spirit of collaboration. We hope to continue the legacy of creative connectedness through the 2022 edition.”
Interested creatives can submit their details via the Fedrigoni 365 website, after which a selection will be invited to contribute.
The 2021 edition of the calendar showcased the work of nearly 1,000 contributors using digital printing technology. It reached its highest ever print circulation and saw engagement increase by over 165% since 2019. All profits from previous editions have been donated to charity, so far raising over £20,000.
Fedrigoni is set to launch the Fedrigoni 365 2022 calendar in November this year.
Separately, Fedrigoni Paper and design studio Praline have collaborated on Peter Blake: Collage, a new monograph dedicated to the iconic British pop artist’s exploration of collage. Using 30 different typefaces and colours sampled from Blake’s work, Praline aimed to mirror the eclectic nature of Peter Blake’s work in their design, elevated through a broad range of Fedrigoni materials.
The book was published by Thames & Hudson, in association with Waddington Custot, and includes a foreword by Blake’s art school friend David Hockney. It combines an essay, artist interview, and numerous colour images that embody the spirit of the artist’s career and his contribution to the medium.
The wider Fedrigoni Group revealed today (28 June) that its turnover for 2020 was €1.315m (£1.127m), up 18% on the €1.115m figure recorded in 2019. The group employs 4,000 staff in 25 countries.
