Falkland Press picks K&B kit

Commercial printer Falkland Press has extended its Heidelberg installation with inline diecutting equipment from Kocher+Beck (K&B).

To complement an XL 75-5-P+L, installed in March, the Hertfordshire-based firm has added two K&B inline
offset cutting (IOC) systems.

The firm's web-to-print service, Printedeasy.com, requires fast turnarounds, even on complicated jobs.

The IOCs allow die-cutting at around 15,000sph. The firm has already run a 550,000 A4 sticker-set, with two different "complex" dies.

Falkland Press managing director Jon Lancaster said: "I hardly believed how simple it was. What really intrigued me was that throughout each of the jobs, the operator made no adjustments to cutting pressure whatsoever. All the labels cut away perfectly."
