Express KCS increases data capacity

Express KCS has said it is set to boost its data-hosting capacity in the UK and the US following "significant growth in client numbers and volume of work".

The India-based repro supplier has brought forward the expansion of its onshore server capacity in response
to the increase in demand for its services.

Robert Berkeley, chief executive of Express KCS, said that the project clearly showed the commitment and growing confidence that clients have in Express KCS as an outsourcing partner.

"We believe this will further enhance our clients' experience and shows our ongoing commitment to delivery high-quality service," he said. "The datacenters will optimise our use of the innovative StudioOnline web-based asset management."

According to Express KCS, the datacentre upgrade will result in improved data transfer times for customer work, and even greater network availability and disaster recovery preparedness.

By the start of 2010, Express KCS will have boosted capacity at its UK datacenters and will begin the process of migrating all their existing UK customers over to the new servers.

The second phase of the expansion, in the second quarter of 2010, will extend Express KCS's hosting capacity in its US data centers on the East and West Coasts and will play a pivotal role in both existing and new contract work.
