Bill Stillman, former marketing director of Karran Group, has set up Amity Print to provide sales and marketing services for Aylesford-based Offset Productions.
Stillman has been on gardening leave since leaving Karran Group in June (PrintWeek, 1 June).
Offset Productions managing director Hugh Jarvis said Stillman contacted his firm after seeing a direct marketing campaign the company sent out.
"With his range of contacts we feel we can branch into different markets," said Jarvis.
Offset, whose clients include Virgin Atlantic and BT, has spent 1.5m on a new KBA Rapida six-colour plus coater and CreoScitex CTP system.
Amity has also signed a five-year agreement with US company PackageX, which will provide an online sampling service within three hours of request.
