According to his LinkedIn profile Frank Moran resigned as managing director of Europoint in January after 15 years with the business and is currently on gardening leave.
He will take up the new role of visual communications strategic development director from 1 May at Antalis, now the the UK’s biggest paper merchant, following the administration of most parts of Paperlinx UK in April 2015.
Antalis said that Moran “will be responsible for business development strategies at Antalis to support the ongoing development and expansion of the company’s visual communications offering”.
Neither Antalis nor Moran was available for further comment.
Moran is a highly experienced paper industry professional and has been working in the paper merchanting sector since 1999.
He joined Europoint Display, then part of The Paper Company as a sales manager in 2000. He was soon promoted to managing director. Following Paperlinx’ acquisition of The Paper Company, he became commercial director for Paperlinx’ sign and display division in 2009 and then managing director of Paperlinx’ Visual Technology Solutions division, building it up to am £80m turnover.
In April 2015 Vink Holdings bought his division from administrators Deloitte and he led a much-reduced business through a difficult transition period.
In November he told PrintWeek that the previoussix months had been “a rollercoaster” but he was confident Europoint had a bright future. Europoint is currently going through a restructuring process.
Moran will report directly to Antalis UK national sales director Bruce Munro.
