Etrinsic MBO in bid to make PM top 5

Etrinsic is aiming to break into the top five UK print management firms after changing hands in a management buy-out.

The Solihull-based firm has been sold by its founder and chief executive Colin Davies to a seven-strong MBO team led by managing director Keith Walton and director Matt Bird.

"Between us, we have over 70 years' experience at etrinsic, and over 150 within the print industry," said Walton (pictured right with Bird). "We see this continuity of operations as a vital factor in our future success."

He added that the 100-strong firm, which has a turnover of 24m, would continue to target new markets "with the ultimate aim to achieve a place among the top five print management companies in the UK."

The MBO team also included group operations director Hugo McHugh, technical director Simon Dipple, director Eric Brown, group finance director Chris Howard, and group human resources director Tina Egginton.

Walton was promoted from sales director to managing director in March to take over the day-to-day running of the firm from Davies who will remain involved with the firm as non-executive company president.
