Esko-Graphics is to head CIP4 package work

CIP4 has appointed Esko-Graphics to head its packaging workgroup, due to its experience in packaging workflows.

Esko-Graphics R&D manager for front-end software Lieven Plettinck has been appointed chairman of the packaging workgroup.

The objective of the pack workgroup is to define Job Definition Format (JDF) extensions with respect to the needs of packaging and label printing workflows.

It will also create additional documentation about JDF-based packaging and label printing workflows.

An active member of CIP4, Esko-Graphics has invested heavily in the integration of JDF.

This has been mainly into Scope, its end-to-end supply chain management workflow for commercial print and packaging service providers
