The offer entitles existing Epson owners to buy the Stylus Pro 9600 at a 750 discount for 3,745 plus VAT and the Stylus Pro 10600 at 5,995 plus VAT, a 1,000 discount. All of Colourgens 40 Epson resellers throughout the UK will offer the discount until 31 December and customers are also able to keep their existing printer.
This is the first time Epson has offered a loyalty bonus to users and its a way to try to build awareness of the new UltraChrome ink sets these printers use, said Colourgen marketing manager Melanie Enser.
The 10600 uses the UltraChrome six-colour ink technology. It also includes interchangeable Photo and Matte Black inks for its photo, proofing and art applications. The 9600s ink set includes a worlds first Light Black, which improves its grey scale gradations.
Both models are targeted at printers of high-quality fine art and photographic image displays, plus repro users.
