EPMS is a family business that was founded 35 years ago. The company has more than 200 customers, mainly located in North America.
Its product range is focused on helping printers be more efficient, with modules covering Customer Service, Production, and Financial.
EPMS also offers “seamless” integrations with a host of popular third-party systems, including workflow, web-to-print, accounting and shipping systems.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
ePS said the deal would grow its presence in the small and midsize print segment.
Dan Vertachnik, who became CEO of Print ePS earlier this year, said he was excited to welcome EPMS’ customers and employees into the ePS fold.
“EPMS’ longstanding customers will continue to enjoy the high level of service they have received from EPMS, and we look forward to providing them with additional value by leveraging ePS’ deep product portfolio and rich industry expertise that will empower their business,” he said.
Mark Andersen, president and CTO of EPMS issued a joint statement together with Craig Andersen, who is COO, CFO and executive vice president at the business. The Andersens are brothers and will remain with the company for the foreseeable future.
The duo described the deal as “an important milestone in our company journey” and stated: “We believe that by becoming a part of the ePS family our customers will greatly benefit from the unparalleled technology portfolio, support, and industry expertise that ePS provides, thus enabling them to address their changing business needs and realise growth potential for many years to come.”
ePS is a serial acquirer of MIS developers, with its most recent buy prior to this latest deal being last year’s takeover of UK firm Tharstern.
