The Belgian-based software developer has built PitStop Extreme 08 from the ground up, based on its Certified PDF technology, which tracks edits and guards the quality of the file.
Compliance with the PDF/X standard and Ghent PDF Workgroup (GWG) specifications were key to the development of PitStop Extreme 08.
Enfocus said: “PitStop Extreme is a stand-alone PDF editor with a unique difference. It was built from the ground up with the needs of pre-press and print professionals in mind. Every function in Enfocus PitStop Extreme’s expansive toolkit is targeted for industry professionals working to a tight deadline.”
The PDF editing tool also includes the Enfocus pre-flight engine, which is built-in to check and correct PDF files at any stage during the editing process.
Pitstop Extreme 08 is PDF 1.7 compliant, meaning that users can work with layers or even modify shadows and transparencies. It also has a text editor for use with native PDF files.
The software, which is available from UK distributor XChange International, is currently priced at £1,859 as a launch promotion. Full price would normally be £2,173.
