Print instructions can be specified within Creative Suite including job number, quantity, number of pages, colours, finishing and delivery details.
EFI claimed that the link was the first creation to fulfilment JDF integration. It requires Creative Suite 2 Premium Edition and a Fiery Q series server along with the Fiery JDF Connector, which will be available from EFI's website next month.
In addition to the link between Creative Suite and the Fiery, JDF Connector enables job data to be sent from the Fiery to EFI MIS, and vice-versa for job details from the MIS to control the Fiery.
The link was unveiled at US digital print show On Demand in Philadelphia this week.
