"As we demonstrated, every EFI solution is designed to make our customers more successful and profitable," said EFI chief executive officer Guy Gecht.
At the show EFI focused on JDF by demonstrating systems running with its PSI, Hagen, Logic and Oneflow softwares as well as its Proofing Solutions and Balance products. The firm also linked its stand with Heidelberg's via Hagen.
On the Xerox stand, EFI demonstrated MIS and digital print working together. It showed how jobs could be submitted directly by Hagen to Xerox's FreeFlow Process Manager, its JDF enabled workflow.
Graph Expo was also the official launchpad for Fiery System 6, billed as the "next generation" of EFI's flagship product; along with the new Fiery Q5000 colour server for high-end prduction applications.
CIP4 highlighted EFI's products, which were featured in its JDF Pavillion. One of other the highlights was the debut of EFI PrinterSite Exchange, which allows firms to set up a "storefront" website and offer full e-commerce with job submission, job ticketing and job status tracking.
JDF compliant EFI Colorproof XF was another one of the digital imaging firm's featured products. The latest version of Colorproof combines technology from EFI acquired Best, as well as offering improved proofing functionality and Windows and Mac OS X support.
