The Jetrion 4000 range is designed for labels, tags, forms and tickets and is available in web widths of 139mm or 210mm. Eight Xaar 1001 printheads will feature in the 139mm model with 12 in the 210mm version.
According to EFI, the Jetrion 4000 Series offers narrow web converters an affordable, full-color alternative to toner-based printers.
Xaar has also certified EFI's range of UV inks for use with the 1001 printhead.
EFI vice president and general manager Kenneth Stack said that by incorporating Xaar's variable drop-size capability, the 4000 Series "can take full advantage of Jetrion's industry-leading ink technology and EFI's Fiery XF color management solutions".
The Xaar-enabled Jetrion 4000 printers are available immediately for small customer orders with larger orders available in the second quarter.
