The server software is based on EFI's new Fiery System 9 R2, which is claimed to have a RIP speed 35% quicker than its predecessor and offers a wide colour gamut, along with automated error correction.
It also includes the latest version of Fiery Color Profiler Suite, which enables the user to control colour quality at each stage of the workflow and aids colour matching across multiple engines.
The system also supports Adobe's PDF Print Engine 2 and is integrated into the Xerox workflow software so that it hooks seamlessly with other EFI products, such as the Rastek and Vutek products, and EFI MIS and proofing software via JDF, according to EFI.
"Our latest Fiery technology was designed with today's demanding print provider requirements in mind and we worked closely with Xerox to exceed customers' expectations," said John Henze, vice president of Fiery marketing, EFI.
"Fiery servers deliver quick document turnaround, amazing colour every time and automated, intuitive workflows to help customers realise increased productivity, profits and competitiveness," he added.
