A three-strong team from the company, comprising managing director James Boughton, head of sales Jeremy Westcott and technical manager Daryl Finter, have dodged their Christmas shopping to sign up for the gruelling event.
The GRIM challenge is an eight-mile course in Aldershot, Hampshire, where the team will run cross-country, wade through water-filled ravines and crawl under camouflage nets on land that is usually used to test army vehicles.
Money raised from the weekend warriors' fatiguing efforts will be donated to Naomi House, a hospice which supports children with life-limiting conditions.
The charity provides care to children and young adults living in communities across the seven counties of Berkshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Surrey, West Sussex and Wiltshire.
Naomi House is the company's chosen charity for 2012, meaning the proceeds from all Edale's fundraising activities over the coming year will be donated to the hospice.
