Three presses are on order including the firm's first B1 long perfector, a 10-colour that will be installed at B1 wing Beacon Press. Two B2 machines, a 10-colour and a six-colour plus coater will be installed at East Sussex Press. All the presses will, like Beacon's three existing six-colour B1 machines, run alcohol free.
East Sussex Press is also combining the two sites' binderies in a single 1,200sqm location adjacent to Beacon's factory. The move to bring all finishing in house in one site will create six or seven jobs.
