Luxembourg-based e-mergency today added to the growing number of printers e-commerce solutions when it launched AMICCA, an e-commerce solution with integrated modular document creation, MIS and planning facilities.
Java-based AMICCA is centred around a calculation engine and is platform-independent, running through an Internet browser interface. The e-commerce module, known as BusinessPrinter, is essentially an online catalogue which can be used by unskilled estimators, sales reps and customers to generate pricing information, orders and order confirmation.
Unusually for an e-commerce solution, AMICCA can provide online drag-and-drop artwork creation using the Art@Work module. The printer sets up templates which are personalised by the customer and rendered on-screen in PDF format: artwork created this way can be sent to print with no further modifications.
If linked to AMICCAs MIS solution, PrintraNet, the system can process orders, invoices, job tickets and provide stock management functions (printers existing MIS systems can also be linked if ODBC-compliant). PlanningPartner, the final module in the package, optimises the planning process, using data generated by the e-commerce front-end.
AMICCA is available in 16 languages and supports all world currencies. E-mergency claims that a complete system costs anywhere between 32,500 and 81,250 (Euro 50,000 125,000).
