Durst extends Rho range with wide-gamut 900

Durst launched another member of the Rho family of wide-format printers at Specialty Graphic Imaging Association Expo (SGIA) in New Orleans last week.

Rho's 900 machine is a 2.5m-wide machine that features an automatic feed table and a wider colour gamut.

The 216sqm per hour machine adds orange and green or orange and violet inks to CMYK to extend the colour gamut and make it easier to reproduce brand colours.

According to Durst, the additional colours help to output high image quality at high print speeds, producing smooth gradients and more even solids.

The automatic feeder enables two boards to be printed side-by-side and uses an automatic two-point registration system to ensure front-to-back registration.
