Thin Film chief executive Johan Carlsson said that it had found DuPont Teijin Films were excellent for printed memory, and could be used in a wide range of applications including smart labels, smart packaging, game cards, smart cards, toys and RFID tags.
The agreement is part of Thin Film's move from doing printed memory to printed electronics, a new technology that allows electronic function to be added to items such as cards, labels, toys and games.
Carlsson said: "DuPont Teijin Films has already a broad range of high performance substrates in the market and is with its worldwide presence an ideal partner for Thin Film, enabling us to speed up the commercialisation of our technology and for our customers to secure a reliable supply of substrates."
