The Esher-based firm has teamed up with Swiss manufacturer Short Run Solutions (SRS) to sell the equipment.
The four principal products in the CIP4-compatible range are: ShortRunTrim, a three-knife trimmer; ShortRunStack, a book stacker; ShortRunCase, a semi-automatic casemaker; and ShortRunBook, a book casing-in line.
"The whole point about the SRS systems is that they offer machinery that can take short-run digital output and make a finished book with minimal downtime," said, Duplo group marketing manager Ashley Whitworth.
"It's all about being able to set the parameters of the book on the computer, and it [the equipment] does it."
Duplo is hoping to target the new equipment at both hardback and softback book publishers.
It is the first time that the Lugano-based company has marketed its products in the UK. Whitworth reports that a group of potential buyers visited a show in Leipzig recently, although no sales have yet been made.
