Duplo to cement digital presence with spin-off division

Finishing equipment manufacturer Duplo is seeking to establish itself further in the digital sector with the launch of sub-brand Duplo Digital.

The launch took place at the BAPC conference in Marlow on Friday afternoon (6 November), with Duplo UK managing director Tony Locke, claiming that the company had not promoted itself well enough in the digital market.

He said: "We are seeking to redress that. We are known for bookletmakers and collators in the commercial sector, but we have eight fully featured digital finishing systems."

Locke added that Duplo was one of the first to market with a digital sheet reader and that it had made "extensive use" of digital barcodes such as QR codes.

"We are leaders in print-to-web," he added.
