Dsicmm chief executive rules out imminent acquisitions

Dsicmm chief executive Yolanda Noble has ruled out any acquisitions in the foreseeable future and instead the business will be "robust and focused" after completing the consolidation of its Dagenham supersite.

She said the group has "reached its next major stage" in becoming the country's top print communications company after its CMM business and its 50 staff completed the move at the end of last month.

The £10m site investment that spans 17,000sqm Dagenham supersite now houses the company’s data, digital and litho print, post-press and mailing under one roof.

Dsicmm's new residence, which employs more than 600 staff, also houses the assets of B1 commercial printer Emeness, which the group acquired in January of this year.

According to Noble, the merger of several disparate sites in the South East into a single facility would help it run as efficiently and as focused as possible.

"Our original strategy remains unchanged, even during a low economic period," said Noble.

"We shall continue to develop innovative solutions for integrated communications and document re-engineering, utilising the huge pool of expertise now resident across our centres in the South East, East Midlands, the North East and the North West."
