The Japanese manufacturer is marking its 100th anniversary this year and held a celebration on day two of the expo, with chairman Yoshiharu Komori and CEO Satoshi Mochida in attendance at the special event.
Thomas Heininger, the recently-appointed CEO of Komori Europe, said: “We are thrilled with the outstanding success of Drupa 2024. The positive feedback and significant sales and interest in our equipment underscores Komori's commitment to innovation and meeting the needs of our global customers.”
Komori said it had achieved significant sales success but did not disclose figures.
Deals were done for presses in commercial and packaging printing, including the high-spec B1 press on its booth that was sold to the UK’s Wilkins Group.
Komori also said there was a lot of interest – and positive customer feedback – in its new 6,000sph J-throne 29 LED UV B2 sheetfed inkjet digital press.
The manufacturer said a record number of visitors had come to its stand, with integrated workflows and automation among the key topics of interest.
