DM campaign lands Premier Print Group 31 magazine wins

Magazine print and direct mail company Premier Print Group has won 31 new magazine titles in the first four months of the year following a successful direct mail campaign.

Titles taken on by the London-based group include Bioenergy, Middle East in London, Boiling Point and Africa Confidential.

Sales director Darren Goodson said the contract wins were due to telemarketing and direct mail campaigns that "have worked wonders". He claimed the success had been "even better during the recession".

He said: "It seems our prospects are even keener to find ways to both cut costs and make their [the titles'] business more efficient.

"As we specialise in the publishing market, we are able to offer a complete turnkey package of design, print and direct mail."

The 40-staff company is celebrating 25 years in business next year and now operates a 24-hour day, seven days a week.

Goodson added: "We know how to run a tight ship here and that's what will keep us going through this recession, no matter how bad it gets.

"We're expecting a lot more printers to go under in the next few months and this is good for our business. We pick up what the others leave behind."

He added that the companies that are still in business this time next year will "almost certainly" survive this recession.

"We see the economy improving in the middle of next year and, when this happens, confidence will return and then businesses will begin spending more on marketing and launching new products," he said.

The Premier Print Group produces more than 100 newsletters and magazines for some 20 publishers including Business Monitor International, Emap, Euromoney, Electric Word and Informa Plus.
