The PrintWeek India recognises printers using digital print technology to create innovative applications including photo memory books, greeting cards, personalised direct marketing campaigns, brochures, posters, personalised calendars and short-run books.
As one of the winners of the PWI Digital Printer of the Year said, "It’s great to be recognised as a PrintWeek India winner. It has made our employees feel valuable, gives assurance to customers and attracts future customers too."
Manipal Press won the inaugural PrintWeek India Digital Printer of the Year Award 2009. Few digital print facilities in India go to the lengths Manipal has gone, to guarantee quality and reliability with every job. Four HP Indigo presses ensure seven-colour printing and smart prints with plastic cards and even 400gsm board. Their quality of design and production of the entries made Manipal deservedly the winner in 2009.
The digital printers who were short-listed for the entries were: DMK Digital, Printech Digital Imaging, Printstop India and Comart Lithographers.
The PrintWeek India Digital Printer of the Year Award 2010 was bagged by Thomson Press. The winning entry included works like table calendar, a food menu, a coaster+mousepad and a production service book. Thomson’s entries came in for praise from the judges especially the table calendar. This spiral-bound entry was subtly beautiful with super photos. Each sheet had a distinctive look and was compatible with the overall calendar.
