The hosted service offers customers a range of tools to create bespoke designs or simply submit artwork, and will produce a print-ready PDF for the printer, ensuring a seamless transaction, Diginate claimed.
Using the new options, a customer can select contour cut and spot varnish options to apply to the artwork. The service then creates extra pages to accommodate this new information, which is subsequently applied as layers.
Diginate director Tim Lamm said: "The fact that our users will no longer require third-party design software to order bespoke print will be a huge benefit in terms of broadening our customer base, improving the experience for existing users, and reducing workload at the pre-press stage.
"We're sure the [contour cut and spot varnish] features will prove extremely popular and further reinforce our strong position in the online short-run digital print market."
