Maidenhead-based Digidist, which has been selling the inks under its Colorific brand since B&P Lightbrigade ceased trading earlier this month, has now secured a deal with the ink manufacturer that supplied B&P.
Digidist will supply the market through the supplier channel previously used to support the Uniform range of systems and supplies. This includes sign and large-format print system suppliers Granthams, printMAX, Signmaster Systems and, in Ireland, Dennis D. Evans.
Users of the inks previously labelled Uniform Activasol and Uniform Citrosol will now be sold as Colorific Elite and Colorific Fresh respectively by their resellers.
Nick Wintle, managing director of Digidist, said the deal would help "cut through the confusion" that has existed in the marketplace in recent months.
Digidist claimed that this market confusion "seemingly arose from B&P dabbling with different inks from different manufacturers".
Wintle added: "Uniform customers have had all manner of conflicting information thrown at them, as regards what was and wasn't the right ink for their printers.
"So we are genuinely delighted to be able to draw a line under it all and offer the customer an ink that they can be certain is identical to that which they have been using in their printers over recent years."
Digidist has also secured a deal to provide ongoing warranty and on-site support to the Uniform customer base.
Wintle said: "We have agreed a deal with a respected service provider, who has a fleet of 16 fully trained engineers providing nationwide next-day coverage."
Digidist to clear up Uniform inks 'confusion' after securing rights from B&P
Exclusive UK and Ireland rights to the inks previously sold under the B&P Lightbrigade Group's Uniform brand have now been granted to specialist large-format distributor Digidist.
