Susan Graham, managing director of Dalkeith-based FLB Group, takes over from JJR Print managing director Iain Robertson.
“I am honoured and pleased to be appointed president of Print Scotland at a time of unprecedented change and challenges,” she said.
She was unanimously voted in for a two-year term at the trade body’s AGM last month.
At the same online gathering, Richard McCombe, managing director of Coatbridge-headquartered wide-format specialist Matic Media, was elected vice president.
Graham said: “We aim to maximise support services to all subscribing members whilst promoting the Scottish Apprenticeship Scheme and encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion within the print industry.
“I am confident that a positive future lies in store for the industry in Scotland. Things are gradually getting better for the print industry as we emerge from the pandemic and I am determined that under my presidency Print Scotland will encourage a dynamic approach to a changing marketplace while guiding our members every step of the way.”
Graham has worked in the sector for more than 30 years, starting at Waddie’s, where she held a variety of roles culminating in HR manager before moving to Letts in 2003. She was appointed HR director at the diary specialist, now FLB Group, in 2016, taking the top job last year.
McCombe, who was a schoolteacher prior to embarking on his print career, said he was looking forward to working with Graham on advancing the trade body’s apprenticeship agenda.
