Previously, Deya, which has worked for Yellow Pages’ owner Yell since 1982, was contracted for just under half the delivery business, while PDC, DDC and LinkDirect held the rest.
Yell operations director John Satchwell said the contracts were combined for efficiency.
He said: We have decided that, for the future, the most effective strategy is to manage this is by having one contractor responsible for delivery throughout the UK.
All four existing suppliers were invited to tender for the expanded contract, which covers 104 regional editions – 28m copies in the year ending March 2008.
The separate delivery contract for the business pages directory continues to be held jointly by Deya and PDC, with Deya managing distribution in the Thames Valley, Southern and London regions.
A Yell spokeswoman said there were no plans to consolidate this contract, which covers nine regional editions.
The printing contract held by RR Donnelley in North Yorkshire for the past 26 years is also unaffected.
