Dewar has spent 22 years at the Cambridge-headquartered inkjet developer, and has worked his way up through the ranks, having started out in logistics. He was previously UK business manager for Domino Digital Printing Solutions.
He has now stepped up to become European director of the division, replacing Vlad Sljapic, who has left Domino to join Xeikon as head of global sales under its new boss Benoit Chatelard.
Philip Easton, director of the Digital Printing Solutions business unit, praised Dewar’s “enormous amount of experience”.
“We are confident he will prove to be key to continuing our rapid business growth across Europe,” he said.
Dewar’s role encompasses driving sales and managing support services for the firm’s inkjet printing kit across EMEA. He said he relished the fresh opportunity, and described taking up the new role as "an honour".
Domino Digital Printing Solutions is a division of Domino Printing Sciences, which was acquired by Brother in 2015 in a £1bn-plus deal.
