Demand-ing Ltd held a creditors’ meeting on 12 October and appointed Southampton-based insolvency practitioner HJS Recovery as liquidator. A special resolution that the company be wound up voluntarily was passed at the meeting and HJS was appointed “to act jointly and severally” in the liquidation.
PrintWeek contacted HJS but the company declined to comment.
Demand-ing Ltd now appears to have phoenixed into The Demand-ing Group Ltd, which was incorporated as a company on 1 June 2016. Its correspondence address on Companies House is the same as Demand-ing Ltd’s principal trading address when it was wound-up: Cardinal Point, Park Road, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, WD3 1RE.
Both companies list Oliver McClellan as director, although The Demand-ing Group terminated his directorship on 3 August, the same day as they appointed a Mr Scott Cole as director and changed their registered address to the Rickmansworth address.
Cole is also listed as being the previous director of four other companies: Greenleaf Entertainments Ltd, TBSC Ltd, Indulgence Spas Ltd and Drama Drive Ltd. All of these companies have been dissolved and a blog post initially written in October 2013 dedicated to Greenleaf Entertainments lists a number of its customers complaining about not being paid various sums of money by Cole.
Demand-ing’s statement of affairs shows the company as having book debts of £41,654 and £36,114 of assets available for preferential creditors.
Estimated deficiency regarding non-preferential creditors excluding any shortfalls is £57,167, of which £21,140 is owed to trade and expense creditors and £36,027 is owed to HM Revenue & Customs.
Seven company creditors are owed a total of £64,207, one of which, Saxoprint, is owed £4,392.
PrintWeek was unable to reach Cole or McClellan for comment.
The Demand-ing Group’s website lists five 'brands': Print & Promotional, Artiste Management, PR & Marketing, Creative Services and Talent. Under the section entitled ‘Brands that love us’ it includes Coca-Cola, Cadbury and John Lewis.
McClellan's Linkedin page describes The Demand-ing's Print & Promotional 'brand' as being a leading commercial printer of all things print, printing direct marketing materials, business cards, POS and letterheads.
