Negotiations are scheduled to start next week between the GPMU and the management of De La Rue over a proposed 60 redundancies at its High Wycombe plant.
Chiltern and Thames Valley branch secretary Ian Cummings said that he had been involved in preliminary talks with the firm, but that negotiations would start on Tuesday 15 January and continue on Thursday.
De La Rue has informed its 440 staff about the plans.
