The Narborough, Leicester-based digital printer has diversified into wide-format, recently adding a Durst Lambda 131+ photographic imager and a third Vutek direct-to-substrate digital press.
The ScreenReader DotMeter reads film, litho plates and screen stencils and ensures efficiency and consistency when producing screen printed work.
Robert Farfort, director of the Data Image Group, told printweek.com that the ScreenReader "nails screen on the head, which ensures the accuracy of the percentage dot every time".
The 24-staffed company, which recently added to its kit battery, made the move into screen printing following demands from its clients for quality UV work.
Farfort said the move into screen "complements our digital work, allowing us to print with both consistency and efficiency".
"We were looking for our next investment and had always received requests from customers for high-quality screen work. It's a response to demand," he said.
The firm's screen printing line includes a Grunig mesh coating machine and a Svecia screen printing machine with hot air and UV dryer. It operates a flatbed portfolio that includes three Vutek PressVu presses.
