Cyan-X launches anti-marking jacket range

A range of anti-marking jackets promises users an effective solution to marking problems at a cost-effective price.

The quirkily-named Green Frog anti-marking jackets and films are being distributed in Europe by specialist pressroom products business Cyan-X, based in Leeds, which has created a separate brand and website for the product.

The Green Frog range includes jackets specially-designed to fit Heidelberg’s SM range of sheetfed presses, along with anti-marking films that work on a wide variety of other presses including Komori, KBA and Sakurai.

The hi-tech Japanese film used for the products features tiny glass beads set into a film, with a silicone coating on top.

"We’ve done extensive trials with it, and that took a while because they last so long," said Cyan-X sales and service manager Andy Patrick.

"They are simple to fit and because of the silicone coating you can just wipe it down and get printing again, potentially saving hundreds of pounds in downtime. The products are very cost-effective compared to some of the other options on the market, and not as fiddly."
