The division will provide stock security and brand protection products. The launch results from the refocusing of the Curtis business into four groups Convertor, Graphical, Publishing and Secure. The company aims to concentrate its business in particular market sectors.
Curtis Secure business unit manager Ken Thom said the firm would also be launching two new products at the exhibition, Coated and Intone.
Curtis Secure Coated is made for the security gift voucher market. It offers the printability of a coated sheet and can be combined with watermarking and other inclusion features.
Curtis Secure Intone is a tear-and-reveal full security paper, which shows an internal colour tone of black, blue, red or yellow. It is also available in other colours to match customer specifications.
Thom said that the show would help further establish Secure Coated in the European market. "As first-timers at Intergraf we are looking to boost our profile with European security printers," he said.
Curtis Secure, he explained, will offer a wide range of products including Curtis Secure Chevron, a two-tone, chevron design and watermarked product.
The range also contains Inclusions, Overt and Covert fibre and Planchette Inclusions, which feature thermo chromic or UV reactors.
Curtis produces more than 40,000 tonnes of special make, security and branded papers each year. It is best known for its Classic and Conservation uncoated fine paper brands.
It will be the first time Curtis has exhibited at Intergraf, which takes place on 6-8 October.
