ControlP has sold its online print procurement arm, Printbynet, for an undisclosed sum to a team headed by Paul Steadman.
Steadman, previously of Multiplex Techniques in Orpington, Kent, and The Beacon Press in Sussex, has worked in sales, production and print management for nearly 20 years.
ControlP retains a 15% stake in the new company, which will keep the Printbynet name and relocate from Sheffield to new offices in Sevenoaks, Kent within 10 days.
Steadman would not disclose details of the other team members, but said current managing director David Howarth would remain on board, splitting his time between Sheffield and Kent.
Printbynet currently employs around six staff in Sheffield, and Steadman confirmed that offers of employment had been made to all of them.
ControlP will now focus on developing its e-commerce software solutions.
