The Bredbury, Stockport-based firm embarked on the six-month programme early in 2016, with the aim to progress and improve its working practices. It has now passed the final audit and is a certified FlexoExpert for the next two years.
Platemakers on the programme are provided with improved support for their daily business and, during the course of the scheme, production processes are optimised and customised training is provided by Flint Group experts.
The programme is completed with a certificate, which Flint Group said visibly confirms a company’s quality platemaking standards to its customers.
Contact Originators said the scheme has enabled it to optimise its processes by fine-tuning its equipment and production parameters within a controlled documented measurement programme.
Contact Originators operations manager Joanne Grundy said: “You have all these measurable limitations that you work towards and that prepares you for getting to the point where you need to be looking at ordering new parts.
“It’s a preventative measure as such, but what you get out of it is an expert-accredited plate for the customer.”
Contact Originators, which provides a full reprographics and flexo platemaking service, is part of Contact Group.
