The two-day conference to be held at the JW Marriot in Mumbai on 18-19 November will demonstrate the possibilities of digital printing in the three segments of market and a variety of substrates. "Digital print shops, designers or even architects, and their clients want to be considered as leading edge and digital gives that leading edge," said Aditya Chandavarkar, CEO of the Inkjet Forum India.
On day one of the conference, the focus will be on graphic, UV and novel inkjet technologies for ceramic and glass printing while the day two will discuss digital textile printing, which will enable the attendees to understand the scope and potential of inkjet printing technology in graphics, industrial application and textile printing, besides growth and future of inkjet technology in India.
"The overwhelming response we received during the first conference was that digital textile printing is poised to become one of the most promising markets in India. In the second edition we are enlarging the scope by including the other two segments of the market," said Chandavarkar.
The panel of speakers among others include: Stewart Partridge, director of Asia Pacific at Chimigraf Iberia & Sepiax Technologies; Sambit Mishra of Canon India; Prof Gert Schlegel, Institute of Print Technology, Bern University of Applied Sciences; Atul Gandhi, director at Macart Digital; Maurizio Ponchiroli, BD Inkjet Asia, Huntsman Textile Effects; Thomas Poetz, chairman, 3P Ink Jet Textiles, Sarel Ashkenazi, vice president for marketing and business development, Kornit Digital; Vinod Krishnamurthy, managing director, Mimaki, Martin Basser, technical director at Zimmer Austria.
The Inkjet Forum India is an initiative of Silversheen Inks and Coatings, with an aim to promote new areas in inkjet technology in the Indian digital printing industry through conferences and educational programmes.
