Compass team: solid foundation for growth

Compass Business Finance has boosted its team with two promotions and a new hire.

The Tonbridge firm’s core speciality is asset-based finance services for the print, packaging and engineering sectors.

Long-serving finance specialist Kellie Franklin, who is approaching 12 years at the company, has been promoted to head up the office-based team of business development executives.

Multi-talented Franklin also runs a successful baking business, and often shares her yummy creations with colleagues.

“Compass is a friendly and dynamic workplace,” she said.

“We balance hard work with camaraderie, and I love sharing my baking with the team!”

Business development manager Bode Adeluola has been promoted to the newly-established direct sales team, with a remit to acquire new customers in the firm’s core sectors.

Adeluola joined Compass in 2023 and is also a talented basketball player. He can lay claim to being the National Basketball League’s all-time leading scorer and currently plays guard for Worthing Thunder.

Charlie MacDonald has joined Compass as area sales manager after returning to the UK following a spell working in investment finance in Dubai.

His focus area is construction, as Compass looks to leverage its know-how to support a broader range of customers.

Compass director Jamie Nelson said the announcements were “just the beginning” as the business gears up for further growth in 2025.

“Our recent investments in support teams, systems, and processes have laid a solid foundation for growth.

“Expanding our sales teams is a key part of our strategy to continue providing exceptional service and support. We are excited about the future and committed to helping our customers achieve their goals.”

Compass currently employs 25 staff. The firm will celebrate 20 years in business next year.
