COI to renew press production framework

The Central Office of Information (COI) is set to renew its framework roster for press production services, worth up to 1m per annum.

The current contract expires on 1 August and is shared between TAG Group and Schawk, but for the next four-year deal, the COI is looking for a single supplier to handle all services.

Through the contract, the successful supplier would provide press-ready files, digital and soft proofs, a digital asset management system, online production and a 24-hour service six days a week.

Martin Humphreys, COI deputy director of channel integration management, said: "The pressure is now even greater on the public sector to achieve more for less.

"This press production framework review is a great opportunity to achieve the improved efficiencies that a single supplier contract will bring."

Interested suppliers should register on the COI e-tendering site at coi.bravosolution.co.uk by 5pm on 15 April.

Earlier this month, Polestar, Howitt and Communisis were named as being among the successful companies on the COI's print framework for commercial web printers.
