Cloc aims to cut carbon footprint in push for ISO 14001

Commercial printer Cloc is aiming to reduce its carbon footprint to zero after taking part in a recent event held by not-for-profit group, The Green Organisation.

The London-based printer attended the group's recent Green Apple Awards at Hampton Court Palace and was presented with a statement of environmental performance.

During the event, designed to both reward and promote environmental best practice, delegates learnt how to qualify for environmental grants.

Oliver Thomas, head of tendering at Cloc, said the company is a "keen promoter of responsible business and has worked hard to seek recognition for its green credentials".

According to Thomas, the company is now pushing for the ISO 14001 environmental standard before the end of the year after recently becoming FSC certified.

He said: "We feel that our continued partnership with The Green Organisation will prove fruitful in boosting our eco profile and streamlining our current environmental initiatives."

Earlier this year, the company announced that it was targeting a £3m turnover after investing in a quartet of Xerox digital machines to help serve its burgeoning educational client base.
