Areas that the company advises on include sales and acquisitions, planning for retirement, machinery valuation and disposal, and creating and sustaining competitive advantage.
"The idea came from looking at the trends in the industry and where it needs support," said managing director Clifford. "Changing supply chains mean managers need different skills sets."
Clifford has been working independently as a consultant for the past three years, but believes the businesses Bartons is targeting are happier dealing with a business than with
an individual.
Bartons can draw on associates to provide specialist advice such as finance and funding.
The firm is based in Leicestershire.
